My priorities

Over the last several years, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to what Corona residents are frustrated with and what they want to see from their city. And honestly, most people aren’t asking for anything crazy. They want to spend less time sitting in traffic. They want the grass at their neighborhood park to be green. They want safe neighborhoods. They want more things to do with their families. They’re tired of increasing rates and fees. They want local businesses to succeed. And they want to know City Hall is actually listening.

Those conversations have helped shape my priorities.

TRAFFIC & INFRASTRUCTURE

Traffic is one of the biggest quality-of-life issues facing Corona. We need better traffic planning, signal coordination, safer streets, maintained roads, and infrastructure that keeps pace with growth.

And traffic doesn't stop at the city limits. Development in surrounding communities directly impacts Corona. Just look at Foothill, Masters, and Bedford during rush hour. Corona needs a stronger voice with Riverside County, neighboring cities, RCTC, Caltrans, and other regional agencies when decisions outside our borders impact the people living inside them.

RESPONSIBLE SPENDING & AFFORDABLE CITY SERVICES

Every dollar City Hall spends came from someone who earned it.

As families deal with higher utility bills, fees, and the overall cost of living, I believe the City has an obligation to demonstrate that we're getting real value for every dollar spent.

My philosophy is simple:

Take care of the basics before chasing grand visions.

Before supporting a major project, I'll ask: Do residents need it? Is it the best use of taxpayer dollars? Have we maintained what we already own? Have residents been involved? And can we afford to operate and maintain it long-term?

LOCAL BUSINESS & LOCAL DESTINATIONS

I've spent most of my career working in Corona and have owned a business here for more than a decade.

I want Corona to become one of the most business-friendly cities in Southern California.

That starts by supporting the businesses that have already invested here - not just chasing the next development.

Talk to business owners. Visit them. Understand their challenges. Streamline unnecessary bureaucracy. Help businesses grow and stay in Corona.

And let's attract more of what residents actually want: restaurants, entertainment, experiences, events, and destinations that give families reasons to spend their evenings and weekends right here.

PARKS, RECREATION & QUALITY OF LIFE

Before we talk about building the next big thing, let's take care of what residents are already paying for.

Healthy grass. Clean parks. Working restrooms. Safe playgrounds. Maintained sports fields.

But we also need more reasons to enjoy our own city. More events. More recreation. More entertainment. Better access to trails and the Cleveland National Forest. And better promotion of the great businesses, organizations, and activities already here.

Corona shouldn't just be somewhere we sleep before driving somewhere else to have fun.
